Italy's Stalam company has developed an RF/C model dryer. It is a continuous RF dryer for yarn packages. The unit is equipped with a drying chamber with fully shielded inlet and outlet holes and is placed in front of other dryers adjacent to it. The RF generator is typically placed on the drying chamber. The drying chamber is latticed with two sets of electrode discs, and the yarn winding line enters the first set of electrode discs and then folds back to the second set of electrode discs. All equipment operating parameters, such as RF energy, turntable speed, etc., are set by Siemens (Siemens S7-200 series PLC) via an ESACT310W operator panel.
